Great Morning Breakfast options - went for a late Sat morning so be prepared for a bit of a line if you do the same. Good menu options, freshly cooked. Slightly pricey but higher quality and portion size offsets price fairly well. Picture attached is one of their corned beef options. French toast looks fantastic - will try that next time! Great staffing - very attentive to keep things moving. Also have trivial pursuit cards in table to give you something to do while waiting.

Tried this restaurant for the 1st time today and it was amazing. The biscuits and gravy were delicious, our waitress was fantastic, and there was not much of a wait on a busy Saturday morning. Highly recommend! Hearty portions as well.

Get the brisket. We had omelets and they were really good. Both had the brisket with other ingredients. They tasted better than they looked. I was a little worried at first. Tomatoes were a little under ripe, but tasted fresh. Busy little place, but sat immediately. Nice wait staff.

Love love love Sunnyside Diner! Nicole is the bomb server! Always entertaining courteous funny! Knows what I want. A real asset to your restaurant! Food is always excellent hot and hits the spot!

Holy cow! This is the first restaurant I've gone to since moving back to the Southside and I cannot overstate how fantastic it is. Candice was our server, and while you couldn't ask for a better server, I definitely hope she's working next time I come in. I had the Farmers Market Omelette, and my mother had the Avocado Toast with scrambled eggs on top. Both were fantastic. They have an open floorplan, so we could look into the kitchen as they cooked, which I really enjoy. The layout feels very comfortable/home-y, and there's a real fireplace in the middle of the room. Oh! And they have a wide and high quality selection of vegan friendly options for those of you, like my girlfriend, who know how hard it is to find a good restaurant that works with your diet.In short, if you want a good breakfast experience and you're not coming here then you're absolutely wasting your money.

Cutest diner ever! The Staff is really nice for the most part. The vegan menu is amazing and much appreciated. Its really hard to find vegan restaurants around here. Let alone one that actually makes good food! My partner and I typically spend about $50 to $60 on food each time we come. (The food is inexpensive, we just eat a LOT!)One thing that really irritated me though is that they have music that plays in the lobby were you eat but the staff in the back play their own music to where you hear too completely different genres of music at the same time. It's a huge sensory overload and that's why we don't come very much anymore.

So good! The staff was super nice even though they were super busy (and some people were a bit difficult). I got strawberry and apple and cinnamon oatmeal that was so good. My friend got biscuits and gravy and they were fantastic too. Love this place!

We love coming to the Sunnyside Diner off SW 89th and Western. We are always taken care of. Today Nicole took great care of us. The food is always fantastic. Go visit Sunnyside Diner and Nicole you will not regret it.

Great food. Unusual menu items including a lot of vegan dishes. Staff is very friendly and efficient. I really appreciated how the diner is eco-friendly with their choices for disposable items like carry-out cartons and straws.

The food was fresh and well-prepared. Even down to the fresh fruit. The service was good. A little bit more than I was expecting on price but well worth it.

Great vegan menu with reasonable prices! I think this may be the cheapest I've seen the impossible burger, but we had the tofu scramble. It was great! Coffee was also good. Service was fast and there's a cool fireplace inside. It was busy by 930 am on a Saturday, and they don't take reservations, but wait was only about 20 minutes. There are also Trivial Pursuit cards on the table. Fun time!

Love the vegan and vegetarian options here . I had the vegan French toast with a side of the vegan JustEgg and it was delicious!!!! The vegan burger is great as well and it comes with vegan mayo & vegan cheese ... not to many places have that . Staff is friendly and I like to sit outside here . We drove in from Fort Worth and the food was great! Roast beef sandwich with gravy was on point. We even could take our dog and sit on the patio. The Chef waved to us from the kitchen when walking to the patio. The waitress was very sweet and friendly. Thanks y’all

The Chilaquiles we and Tofu Scramble Plate were delicious and enormous. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. This location is easy to get to, with plenty of parking on site. Enjoy the patio, which is breezy, cheery and cool even in the OK summer.. Great hours!

First time here. Lovely staff. Very much a diner feel, and diner food with a bit of a modern twist. This diner sports traditional fare such as biscuits and gravy, but also salads and plant based options.I had a Guacamole Bacon Cheeseburger today. Happens to be #vegan and DELICIOUS. Definitely coming back!

1st time eating here.. heard rave reviews. Unfortunately they were out of bacon AND sausage. Ordered the brioche lemon blueberry French toast... delicious bur far too rich for breakfast, for my taste Added a cheesy egg and hashbrowns for some protein. They did not charge me for the French toast which I thought was very generous considering I ordered it. Will be back... just hoping for some meat next time. Excellent service!!

Huge portions. High quality food. The kids meals are pretty much adult entree size.

I have driven past Sunnyside diner for years, always after they had actually closed until this visit when I had to take my cats to the humane society. They have a real vegan menu and I decided on the tofu scramble. It was really good and filling. I love that I can have real diner food as a vegan now!

Our new favorite stop for breakfast or lunch. The biscuits and gravy is my favorite thing on the menu right now. Everything tastes homemade, nothing frozen or made way in advance. Service has been efficient and they get you in and out without rushing you. So happy to have this new place become our regular stop.

Better than I was even hoping for. I got the small plate of corned beef hash and it was excellent. My boyfriend got the short stack and I liked the pancakes.

Breakfast is pretty good and not too expensive.

Food was good. Waitress was very accommodating. Hubby hates the "at table checkout". He says he shouldn't have waitstaff standing over him while he's trying to give a tip.

This place was very popular on a Sunday morning. The menu had a nice variety to it. The food was pretty alright. Ordered some biscuits and sausage gravy.Not a huge fan of the sausage gravy though.There was not a long wait. Some food items looked very interesting (in a good way). Also, they serve cocktails. Having a cocktail with breakfast on a weekend sounds perfect to me. Lol.

Cowboy burrito with side of biscuit in gravy. I normally eat here bout twice a month and Nicole is my favorite waitress. On to the food I wasn’t crazy bout the cowboy burrito it was good but not great my go to is pork tamales with eggs. Coffee is always good oh and the brunch croc madame I do like as well. It’s perfect the sweet deals offers gift certificates half price. I like to eat local and keep it that way as much as I can.

First time here today. We had to wait about 10 minutes, which for a Sunday morning is pretty good. Four different servers made sure our drink order was taken so we were off to a good start. After that we waited a bit too long for someone to take our order. However, Meme came to the rescue. She was great. I would definitely recommend asking for Meme. She was cheerful and apologetic about the wait. Definitely an experienced waitress. The food was delicious. My wife particularly enjoyed the hash browns and my Midtowner breakfast burrito was excellent.
